Research Interests

My research focuses on public opinion, comparative regionalism, and international political economy.

Underlying these topics is my long-term interest in the complex relationship between individuality and collectivity. More specifically,
  • How do individuals form a collective entity?
  • What is the relationship between individual preferences and collective rationality?
  • Does the collectivity make up each individual, or do individuals constitute the collectivity?
Questions such as these have motivated my research on group-oriented behaviour, inter-state cooperation, and ideas of the world order.
