Research career
In research, Dr. Yoshimura worked on the R&D of various
algorithms based on graph and network theory. The work covers the following
area:
- Water pipe network operation planning , including the planning of water distribution from sources to sinks(demand points), the flow and pressure analysis in the network, the water demand forecasting, the calculation of optimum pump and valve pressure, etc)
- Topological design for computer networks and data transmission networks.
- System LSICAD which includes logic synthesis system, placement*
&, routing systems for standardcell LSIs and Gate Array LSIs., compaction
algorithms and floor planning system*. *received best paper awards from
IEICE Japan and IEEE)
- Conflict detection &resolution for airplane flight scheduling
He
also developed an efficient algorithm for channel routing with professor E. S.
