 gSoft Computing Approach to

  Management Engineeringh

organized by Junzo Watada (Waseda University),
Huey-Ming Lee (Chinese Culture University), and
Taki Kanda (Bunri University of Hospitality)

1) The scope:

   Soft computing methods are widely employed in management engineering. The method includes neural network, fuzzy set based technology, and genetic algorithms, evolutionary computing, chaos approaches and so on. Most concepts of soft computing came out in 1960s. Today the soft computing technology is a central method and tool to solve problems in Management Engineering not only of human related ones but also of mathematical ones. This organized and invited sessions focus on the advanced methodologies of soft computing which are employed in management engineering.

2) Related fields:
  Systems design, engineering, production, management, economics, policy making, decision making, real options analysis, Kansei engineering, ergonomics, project management, MOT and so on.

3) Time Schedule:
   Submission of a full paper:                        March 20, 2008 
   Notification of acceptance:                       April 1, 2008
  
Submission of the camera-ready paper:      April 20, 2008 

(Session organizers have to send the bundle of camera-ready papers to KES Secretariate
till May 1, 2008, or the papers will not appear in the proceedings,
all members have to pay their registration fee till May 1, 2008 as well.)

and be submitted through the PROSE review software (Address will be publicized soon)

This is:

1.  To enable us to see the results of the review process as requested by Springer.
2. To enable us to collect the files to be sent to the publisher to produce the proceedings.

Note: We cannot send the files to Springer if they have not passed through   PROSE and so papers that are not submitted through PROSE cannot appear in the proceedings.

Papers to appear in the KES 2007 proceedings must have their publication files and copyright forms uploaded onto PROSE by May 1, 2007.
